Because people are different, grief is experienced and expressed in many different ways. The length of time a person grieves will also vary. Though grief and loss is a unique experience, research tells us that having support is extremely vital for us to heal from the intense emotional pain.
Dealing with loss and grief is extremely important. Often, someone grieving is simply just trying to get through the day. Dealing with all aspects of the grieving process can be overwhelming, but necessary for our health and well being.
Having professional support and a safe place to share your experience allows for the healing to begin.
I have helped many women over the years to process their grief.
I start by offering a nurturing space to explore all your feelings. Grief has so many accompanying emotions including shock, anger, guilt, irritability, fear, numbness and so on... together we will explore where your pain is coming from.
Grief is more difficult when there are extenuating circumstances or multiple losses in a close period of time. Often, my clients have had related issues to sort through such as physical health problems, spiritual concerns, and questions around where to live that can arise as a result of a loss. My counselling service will provide you with guidance, structure and practical goal setting skills to help you work your way through the maze of uncertainty.

Dealing with grief and loss is extremely important and necessary for our health and well-being.
I encourage you to seek professional help if you are struggling with grief. I have seen clients unwilling to deal with the pain of loss that has led to addictive behaviors. Unresolved grief can also lead to depression. Things might seem overwhelming right now but it is possible for you to feel better in time. Dont Wait!
